Shipping Rates

UK clients

Standard shipping is included for UK customers.

As from April 2nd 2013 the Royal Mail as part of their prices review brought the size of packages as well as their weight into their pricing formats. As a result certain larger items have been re-categorized as 'medium size' parcels & consequently they cost significantly more to post. Draught Excluders posted with their covers on can no longer be sent via Royal Mail as they are too big - unless we fold the filling in half & ask the customer to put the cover on when the Draught Excluder arrives. The Royal Mail have also drastically reduced the amount of compensation paid on lost orders.

We still choose to use the Royal Mail on many occasions. However, depending on timescales & for bigger items like cushions, throws & draught excluders, we will use a courier service as an alternative, after a successful trial we conducted in the pre-Xmas 2013 run up.

How long will it take?

We usually say allow 5 - 7 working days or so for delivery to UK addresses - if during holiday time there is going to be any delays we will post a note on our Shipping Cart & Checkout pages .

Shipping elsewhere?

Shipping to the Irish Republic & EU countries.

For clients in these countries items are sent by Airmail; if the order is over 2Kgs, then a Courier is used. For these clients, additional shipping charges are based on weight.

If you wish your overseas order to be sent via an 'Internationally Tracked / Signed For' service please use the Contact Us page so we can provide an accurate quote for your needs.

Lost & Missing Deliveries

In spite of all our efforts, there can sometimes be unforeseen delays in delivery. If your order appears to be late it may be worthwhile contacting your local postal sorting office as it is possible that they have already tried to deliver your package but were unable to do so. If you do not receive your good(s) within 15 working days, please use the Contact Us
 page and we will make further enquiries with the carrier and arrange delivery of replacement goods or refund the price (including any delivery charges) via the original method of payment.

Cancellation of Orders:

RETURNS POLICY

At AnimalGiftIdeas.com we want you to be delighted with every order. Occasionally though, you may want to return items. If you are a UK or EU customer, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of one or more items in your order starting from the time you place your order up to 14 days after you receive the item(s). To cancel your order, please use the Contact Us page stating the reason for the return as 'Contract cancellation' and we will reply detailing the process and correct return postal address. Please note that you have a duty to take reasonable care of the goods until you return them to us. 

If you have already received & examined your goods please re-package the relevant item either in the original packaging or other secure packing. Please don’t remove any washing or product labels as this would affect our ability to resell those items.

Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us. If you order the wrong item in error & wish to return the item, then you are responsible for the return postage costs. If we do not receive the item back from you with the delivery slip, we may arrange for collection of the item from your residence at your cost.

When we receive notice of your cancellation of your order, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item within 7 days once we have examined the returned item to ensure that it is in a resaleable condition.

DEFECTIVE ITEMS

In case of a defective product, please use the Contact Us page within 7 days of delivery with 'Defect' in the subject header and provide a full description of the fault with the goods in question & the order number. We will then advise you of the procedure to follow & where to return the item. Please use either the original packaging or other secure packaging if the original packaging is damaged or lost. Please don’t remove any washing or product labels. Please note: we only accept returns of items that have been used if they are defective. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

In the event that you receive a defective or damaged product, we will refund the original product price & delivery costs via the original method of payment. Alternatively, if you request a replacement, we will despatch your replacement item (subject to availability), at our cost. Please note: If we find that the goods are not damaged or faulty we will return the ordered goods to you and you will be responsible for all return delivery costs.
