Shipping & Returns

Cancellation of Orders:

You have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item at any time prior to delivery or within 7 working days of receipt of your order. This applies to all our products. To cancel your order, please notify us by e-mail, stating the reason for the return as 'Contract cancellation'. Please note that you have a duty to take reasonable care of the goods until you return them to us.

If you have already received your goods please re-package the relevant item in the
original packaging and return it to us with the delivery note. Please promptly email us at
support@AnimalGiftIdeas.com and we will send you an email detailing the process and the correct return postal address. For your protection, we recommend that you use a Recorded Delivery service.

Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty. If we do not receive the item back from you with the delivery slip, we may arrange for collection of the item from your residence at your cost.

When we receive notice of your cancellation of your order, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item within 30 days.

 
Shipping Rates

UK clients

All items posted to UK clients are sent by Royal Mail, Parcel Force if over 1Kg or via Courier if the goods are over 2Kgs.

Please note that there isn't any such thing as free UK shipping; shipping costs have to be a factor in any business; as far as we are concerned, for the overwhelming majority of UK clients, shipping costs are included into the pricing of the items regardless of weight; however please see more details under the Restricted Postcodes category below.

Restricted UK Postcodes

Due to the higher cost of delivering to remote, rural or offshore addresses, most carriers impose surcharges for these areas, and we in turn have to pass on this cost to be fair to other customers. The following postcode areas are subject to surcharge for packages weighing more than 2Kgs: - (packages less than 2Kgs, delivery costs already included).

You will notice on the website in the browsing headers page, that an approximate weight of each item including packaging is given, to assist you in determining how heavy your parcel is going to be. If you live at one of the Post Codes mentioned above, and the weight of the parcel is going to be more than 2Kgs, please email support@animalagiftideas.com before finalizing the order so we can supply a more accurate quote.

How long will it take?

Whilst we anticipate an order usually being despatched from our warehouse within 48 hours of receipt of payment and agreement of order, for UK mainland clients, please allow between 5-7 working days to receive delivery. In the Restricted Postcodes mentioned above, please allow a little longer for your delivery.

Shipping only to some EU countries: We will verify order via email if we accept the order - if not we will issue a full refund.

For clients in these countries items are sent by Airmail; if the order is over 2Kgs, then a Courier is used. For these clients, additional shipping charges are based on weight. The rates are as follows-:


Total package weight between 0.0 Kgs to 0.4 Kgs  = £3.00 extra.

Total package weight between 0.4 Kgs to 0.9 Kgs  = £4.70 extra.

Total package weight between 0.9 Kgs to 1.0 Kgs  = £5.20 extra.

Total package weight between 1.0 Kgs to 1.5 Kgs  = £6.20 extra.

Total package weight between 1.5 Kgs to 2.0 Kgs  = £7.20 extra.

Total package weight above 2.0 Kgs: There is a default to delivery costs of £100.00 so that we can obtain a more accurate quote, and then email you the correct amount. Under such circumstances, please email
support@animalgiftideas.com first before proceeding with the order.

 

How long will it take?

For clients in the countries above, once an order has been paid for and agreed, please allow anything up to 20 working days for delivery, especially at peak holiday times in August, and December. Sometimes there may be delays due to public holidays etc. but apart from that, you will be notified if there is going to be any further delay with your order due to stock problems.

If you live outside of the EU, ie the United States, could you please email
support@animalgiftideas.com so we can assess whether it is feasable to ship to your location, and the shipping costs involved.

Lost & Missing Deliveries

In spite of all our efforts, there can sometimes be unforeseen delays in delivery. If your order appears to be late it may be worthwhile contacting your local postal sorting office as it is possible that they have already tried to deliver your package but were unable to do so. If you do not receive your good(s) within 30 days, please send us an email to
support@AnimalGiftIdeas.com and we will make further enquiries with the carrier and arrange delivery of replacement goods or refund the price (including any delivery charges) via the original method of payment.

 
Defective Items:

You can return items to us if they are defective but you must notify us via email within 7 days of delivery of the problem with the goods in question. Please use and secure the original packaging unless the packaging is damaged. Please note: we only accept returns of items that have been used if they are defective.

In the event that you receive a defective or damaged product, we will refund the original product price, delivery, via the original method of payment. Alternatively, if you request a replacement, we will despatch your replacement item (subject to availability), at our cost. Please note: If we find that the goods are not damaged or faulty we will return the ordered goods to you and you will be responsible for all return delivery costs.

Delivery charges and other services:

If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or because it is defective, we will be happy to refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you and your costs in returning it to us. Otherwise you will be responsible for those charges.

To return a defective item:

To return an item, please enclose a note giving the reason for the return, and wrap the package securely in the original packaging. In the case of a defective product, please provide a full description of the fault, order number and email us at
support@AnimalGiftIdeas.com with 'Defect' in the subject line. We will then advise you of where to return the item. For your protection we recommend that you use a Recorded Delivery service. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
